Made from 34 and 42-year-old Gamay vines, handpicked and foot trod. It is complex and savoury, with seductive characters of cherries and plums and hints of violets, spice, chocolate, nougat and liquorice, with silky texture and excellent length.

Soil: Sandy topsoil sitting on top of a thick layer of excellent smectite clay.
Winemaking: Handpicked, foot trod in fermentation barrels. Barrel fermented and 9 months on lees in one and two-year-old French oak.
Technical: Alc./Vol. 12.3% Residual sugar 0.4 g/L | Free/Total Sulphur levels 26/90 mg/L | Bottled August 2010 | Production 1,800 bottles
